Shape
There are two shapes for implants, tear drop(or anatomic) or round. Generally, round implants give a full shape of the breast and offer women better clivage. Tear drop, or contoured, implants may be a fit for women who want a more natural result or after mastectomy. Surface
Two implant surface types are available for breast implant augmentation patients, smooth and textured. Textured implants have a rough surface. These implants were developed to reduce the risk of contracture. Smooth implants have a smooth surface. Recently many surgeons prefer smoother implants for their softer, more natural feel.
