Breast implants recovery

A very frequent question is “how much time does it take to recover after breast implants surgery?”

It is very relevant actually. It takes 2 weeks for the wound to heal. The pain and the return to any activities depends on the position of the implants.

When they are placed under the pectoralis muscle( dual plane in my patients) it takes more time than above the muscle (subfascial plane for my patients). Usually you need 4-7 days to return to your activities in the first case and less than 4 days in the second.

To return to the gym you need 2 months for under the muscle implants and 1 month for those above.

Of course all of this is relative and may vary between patients.
